The new academic year of the youth group began with a moment of deep spiritual reflection through a Eucharistic Adoration, held on the solemn occasion of the Feast of Corpus Christi on 22nd June, 2025. The adoration was led by Fr. Kiran Nazareth, who guided the youth into an hour of prayer, silence, and reflection centered on the theme of faith acknowledging and recognizing the importance of the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. The service began at 4:00 PM with hymns and moments of silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Fr. Kiran offered a brief but inspiring reflection on the significance of faith in the lives of young people and how the Eucharist strengthens and sustains us in our spiritual journey. Don Bosco Youth Services Animation Team guided 42 young people of St. John Bosco Church, Sirsi, in a day’s animation programme. The animation team was Alia Colaco, Precious Fernandes and Fr. Austin Fernandes, sdb (DBYS Director). The day began with action songs and a few icebreakers. Once the participants were at ease, Fr. Austin and his team guided the youth through activities and talk. The main focus of the session was to build a strong Catholic Youth Group in the Church with a strong foundation. In his session, Fr. Austin asked the Sirsi Youth to be rooted in Jesus, have clear communication, sincere trust and openness to correction, knowledge of the Word of God, and leadership that takes all the members together towards a common goal.
