Marian Night: Where Faith Meets Fellowship
The evening of September 12, 2026, was a beautiful and meaningful one at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shirva, as the youth, boarders and Salesian Cooperators came together to celebrate Marian Night.
The evening began at around 6:00pm in the chapel with prayer and a moment of self-reflection. After this peaceful beginning, everyone joined a procession towards the lawn, singing a Marian hymn and carrying flowers in their hands. On reaching the lawn, the flowers were offered to Mother Mary as a simple expression of love and devotion.
The gathering also gave the youth an opportunity to discover more about Mother Mary, her life and virtues, and the different prayers, devotions, celebrations, and religious activities through which Mary is honoured.
The evening then became more lively as everyone was divided into groups for various fun and interactive activities. These activities brought the youth and boarders together, creating moments of laughter, teamwork, friendship, and fellowship.
The programme was guided by Fr. Kiran, Fr. Royal, and Fr. Edison and came to an end around 9:00 PM, followed by dinner.
Marian Night was more than just an evening programme. It was a simple yet beautiful experience of prayer, learning, devotion, friendship, and togetherness, leaving everyone with a renewed appreciation for Mother Mary and the joy of being part of a community.
