Marian Knights 2026: Abide with Mary, Care for Creation

Marian Knights 2026 was celebrated on 20th September at the Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim, bringing together young people from different parishes and youth associations across South Goa for an evening centred on the theme "Abide with Mary, Care for Creation."

With 16 enthusiastic teams participating, the event was filled with games, quizzes, and challenges that tested participants' knowledge of Mother Mary's life and virtues, even as fun team-building activities kept the energy high throughout the evening - all while deepening their understanding of her example of faith and love for God's creation.


The evening opened with a prayer service, followed by a short reflection and activity inspired by the Pope's announcement of the annual Season of Creation, observed from 1st September to 4th October. Each team was asked to decorate a jar using reusable or readily available materials, reflecting a wealth-from-waste approach, and to place it at the feet of Mother Mary as their personal commitment to caring for the environment.




Fr. Austin Fernandes addressed the gathering, reflecting on how young people can learn from Mother Mary to become responsible stewards of creation. 

And after an evening of spirited competition, the winners were announced: Our Lady of Grace Church, Margao took first place, followed by Mother of God Church, Majorda in second, and Don Bosco Youth Paschers in third. The first-place team was honoured in a special knighting ceremony and crowned "Marian Knights", while all participants received a memento as a token of appreciation.


The event was also graced by the presence of Sr Cecilia Crasta, Sr Perpetual Ferrao, and Sr Sunitha Shah, along with Fr Bernadino Almeida, Fr Kimrold D'Mello, and Fr Christovan Cardozo.

Behind the scenes, volunteers from Don Bosco Youth Benaulim poured hours of hard work and creativity into bringing the event to life - devising innovative Marian-themed games, preparing the backdrop and decor, and ensuring the evening ran smoothly for all who took part.

Marian Knights 2026 stood as a beautiful reminder of how faith, fellowship, and care for God's creation can come together, inspiring young people across Goa to walk in Mother Mary's footsteps.

 On 21st June 2026 the Seraulim Parish Youth celebrated the annual youth ceremony. As part of the youth inaugural programme, a formation session was conducted by Fr. Austin Fernandes to encourage interaction, participation, and team bonding among the youth members. The session begin with an ice-breaking game for the youth. Music was played, and the participants moved around until the music stopped, after which they were asked to form groups. Four groups were formed, each consisting of seven members. The first activity involved rearranging jumbled Bible-related words into the correct words. Don Bosco Youth Paschers Reunion 2026

The Don Bosco Youth Paschers Reunion was held on 17th May, 2026 at Eden Farms, bringing together sixty paschers from previous years for a day of faith, fellowship, and reflection.  The program began with the  registration and a light-hearted icebreaker that helped everyone settle in and reconnect. This was followed by a Eucharistic Celebration, where everyone came together in thanksgiving. A brief reflection period followed post the mass. The mood deepened further as paschers shared personal testimonies on faith, community, and the ways their journey with Don Bosco Youth programme had shaped them. After lunch, the paschers were split into five groups to discuss the year’s upcoming events and to elect the new Paschers committee. Marian Knights 2025: A Night of Faith and Fellowship

Marian Knights 2025 was held on October 26, 2025, at the Don Bosco Animation Center, Benaulim. A total of 15 teams from various parishes and youth groups across Goa, including YU4C, Jesus Youth, and DB Paschers, participated in this year’s edition. The event was organized by the Don Bosco Youth Services, Benaulim, with great enthusiasm and success. The evening began with a devotional prayer service led by Chiquita, invoking God’s presence and the intercession of our Blessed Mother. Fr. Edison then extended a warm welcome to all participants and highlighted the significance of the event and its Marian inspiration. Action songs led by the emcees, Galicia and Chiquita, followed, setting a lively and joyful tone for the rest of the evening.
