SYM LAF MEET (INB & INP)

The Salesian Youth Movement had its annual Western Region Leaders and Animators Formation (LAF) Meet for the Provinces of INB and INP at Don Bosco, Benaulim, Goa, from 6th–7th September 2025.

The 32 youngsters from Gujrat, Nashik, Pune, Ahmadnagar, Mubai, Karnataka, Goa began the LAF meet with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Simao Fernandes SDB the rector and Fr. Constantine Fernandes the Preacher who asked youngsters why they fell in love with Don Bosco and why it is important to keep that love alive.

In the afternoon session INP SYM Delegate Fr. Ralin D'souza (INP) highlighted the Unique Leadership the Salesian Ministry offers to Youth and how they can draw maximum out of it with the accompaniment of the Local Salesian Community.

The trek to Trinity Beach in the evening brought out the best and creative part of the young leaders. All the Spiritual moments of the program were animated by the young people. 

The interaction with Catholic MLA Venzy Viegas of Benaulim Constituency helped young people to understand the importance of voting wisely and why they must get actively involved in the local and country's politics. Now on: no more sitting and watching! But, doing and bringing sustainable changes! 

The session animated by Province Leaders and Representatives at the South Asia: Griselle and Leander, helped young leaders of the communities to assimilate the SYM Fest Resolutions to their communities.

Their animation helped connect the spirit of the national gathering with the life of local groups, reminding participants that these resolutions are not just words on paper but a call to live the Salesian spirit with greater fidelity and consistency.

Both the provinces took turns to animate the gathering with music, creativity, and interaction that captured the joy of belonging to SYM. 

Fr. Leon the SYM Delegate of INB shared the spirituality of SYM with the participants. 

The Community of Don Bosco Benaulim hosted the event with much joy and cheer.

Youth Pasch 2025: Pilgrims of Hope: Rooted in Love and Service

They said, “ Sir, we want to see Jesus. ” We replied, “ Come and See .”  The Youth Pasch 2025, was organized by Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS), at Don Bosco Sulcorna from 16th April to 20th April. 46 young people, 12 volunteers and 6 animators started the spiritual endeavor with great enthusiasm and hope in the promises of the Lord. The theme for this year, “Pilgrims of Hope: Marching towards the Promised Land,” captured the essence of the spiritual journey undertaken by each young person present. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Holy Triduum, Youth Pasch seeks to help participants walk closely with Christ through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection — not merely as a remembrance, but as a lived experience: the personal encounter with the Lord Jesus. Don Bosco Youth Paschers Reunion 2025

A Day of Faith, Fellowship, and Future Vision. The Don Bosco Youth Paschers came together for an unforgettable one-day reunion on May 11th, 2025, at the tranquil Eden Farms in Cuncolim. With over 60 enthusiastic Youth Paschers and dedicated volunteers in attendance, the gathering served as a vibrant platform to rekindle friendships, reflect on their shared mission, and lay the groundwork for the movement’s activities in the 2025–2026 term. Led with care and wisdom by Fr. Austin Fernandes, Director of Youth Services, the entire event was carried out smoothly and joyfully. The day began on a refreshing note as participants arrived by 9:00 AM, warmly welcomed with light snacks and cheerful greetings.
