Marian Night 2025: Walking with Mary in Hope and Faith

The Marian Night took place on 13th August 2025 at Don Bosco School, Oros, and was beautifully hosted by the Youth of Oros and Ranbambuli. The gathering brought together around 82 participants, comprising children and youth from the Kudal Parish, accompanied by priests and nuns, all united in their love and devotion to Mother Mary. The celebration was held under the meaningful theme “Walking with Mary in Hope and Faith,” which guided the spirit of the evening and inspired every activity, prayer, and performance.

The evening began on a deeply spiritual note with a solemn procession in honor of Mother Mary. Children, holding lighted candles, walked reverently, creating an atmosphere of devotion and prayer. At the center of the procession, Fr. Paul carried the statue of Mother Mary with great reverence, symbolizing the faith and unity of the parish community. Following the procession, Fr. Paul formally declared the Marian Evening open, encouraging everyone to participate wholeheartedly in the activities prepared for the night.

The program was thoughtfully designed to blend faith, learning, and fun, beginning with a series of Marian-themed games that not only entertained but also deepened the participants’ knowledge and appreciation of Mother Mary’s life. This was followed by the Marian Quiz, which tested the participants’ understanding of her virtues, history, and significance in the life of the Church.

The evening also featured a variety of creative competitions, including a Table Decoration Contest inspired by Marian themes and a Marian Hymn Singing Competition that filled the air with melodious devotion. Each team showcased their creativity, dedication, and teamwork, making the competitions both vibrant and memorable. Among the participating teams, Team Seat of Wisdom excelled and proudly secured first place.

Before bringing the evening to a close, the youth took a moment to celebrate Rector’s Day, a heartfelt occasion to honor and express gratitude to their Rector. This special moment added warmth and significance to the event.

The Marian Night concluded with a sincere vote of thanks delivered by the Youth Director, Fr. Melwin Ferrao, who expressed deep appreciation to all the participants, organizers, volunteers, and supporters for making the evening a success. This was followed by a fellowship dinner, where laughter, conversation, and togetherness marked the perfect end to a night filled with faith, joy, and unity.
