Youth Core Committee Meet

The Youth Core Committee Meet was held on 5th July, 2025 via Google Meet, the meeting commenced with a warm welcome extended to all present by Fr. Austin, Director of Youth Services. Miss Precious Fernandes  (DBYS Province Youth Coordinator) opened the session with a prayer, invoking blessings for the meeting and the work ahead. The prayer focused on guidance, wisdom, and unity for the group, as well as strength to carry out the plans effectively for the youth commission. The prayer set a reflective and positive tone for the rest of the meeting.

Fr.Banzelao Teixeira, the Vice Provincial, addressed the attendees with a few words of encouragement. He spoke about the importance of the youth commission in shaping the future of the community. His address emphasized the need for collaboration, commitment, and spiritual growth in all initiatives. He encouraged all members to actively participate.

The next agenda item was the formal introduction of the youth commission team. Each member was introduced with a brief description of their role and responsibilities within the commission. This served as an opportunity for members to familiarize themselves with one another, fostering an environment of teamwork and shared purpose.

The meeting then moved to an overview of the planner, where the upcoming activities, timelines, and goals were discussed. The planner was shared with all members, and the key events were highlighted. Questions and clarifications were invited, and the team was encouraged to provide input for any modifications or additions.

The budget for the planned activities was presented by Fr. Austin Fernandes. Details were provided regarding the allocation of funds for various events.

The pool was opened for an open discussion, where members shared their thoughts, ideas, and concerns. Topics raised included suggestions for improving youth engagement, new activities that could be introduced, and ways to foster a stronger sense of community among youth. 

The meeting concluded with a prayer led by Fr. Ronald (The Youth Commission Member). His prayer asked for God's continued guidance and blessings on the work of the Youth Commission.

Inauguration and Formation Program

On August 13th Inauguration and Formation session was conducted for the students of Don Bosco Vocational Training Institute, Quepem The main highlight was the importance of communication: intra communication, interpersonal communication and group communication. Fr. Austin sdb, the Director of the Youth Services shed light on the importance of communication, things to keep in mind and how to get better at communication. In the second part of the session focus was laid to work as a team and grow together.

Youth Pasch 2025: Pilgrims of Hope: Rooted in Love and Service

They said, “ Sir, we want to see Jesus. ” We replied, “ Come and See .”  The Youth Pasch 2025, was organized by Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS), at Don Bosco Sulcorna from 16th April to 20th April. 46 young people, 12 volunteers and 6 animators started the spiritual endeavor with great enthusiasm and hope in the promises of the Lord. The theme for this year, “Pilgrims of Hope: Marching towards the Promised Land,” captured the essence of the spiritual journey undertaken by each young person present. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Holy Triduum, Youth Pasch seeks to help participants walk closely with Christ through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection — not merely as a remembrance, but as a lived experience: the personal encounter with the Lord Jesus.
