Youth Service Incharges Meet INP

 The online meeting of the Local Youth Services Incharges of the INP Konkan Province was held on 14th June 2025 at 7:00 pm, bringing together the Salesians responsible for youth animation across the province. 


The session opened with an address by Fr. Provincial, who spoke about the need to create meaningful spaces for young people within our Salesian houses and to ensure a strong, active presence in these spaces. He reminded everyone that youth ministry begins at home, through genuine relationships and availability. This was followed by a short but insightful sharing by Fr. Ralin, who emphasized the importance of careful planning and encouraged participants to put their ideas into writing. He also challenged the tendency to repeat past activities out of habit, urging everyone to remain open to new ideas and creative approaches. 

Fr. Austin then presented the annual plan for youth animation and introduced “Connect” as the first major province-level initiative. He also outlined several important responsibilities: each house is to select two young people for the LAF program, identify two youth representatives from the local youth group, and to share the Youth Animation Planner. 

Additionally, he informed the group about an offline meeting scheduled for July to further develop the year’s initiatives. The meeting concluded with each participant sharing a brief update on the status of their youth groups. The overall atmosphere was one of renewed energy, collaboration, and a shared commitment to journeying with the young through thoughtful planning, creativity, and a strong Salesian presence.

Viva Sao Joao - Where faith meets Fun

The Feast of São João brought the Don Bosco Animation Centre in Benaulim to life with festive cheer, soulful reflection, spirited music, and meaningful community connection on 22nd June 2025. This celebration, deeply rooted in Goan culture, was specially curated for the youth, blending age-old traditions with modern expressions of faith and fun.  Organized by the Don Bosco Youth Paschers Movement, “Viva Sao Joao” was both a celebration of heritage and a moment of reflection on how traditions are evolving in today’s fast-paced world. Youth Pasch 2025: Pilgrims of Hope: Rooted in Love and Service

They said, “ Sir, we want to see Jesus. ” We replied, “ Come and See .”  The Youth Pasch 2025, was organized by Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS), at Don Bosco Sulcorna from 16th April to 20th April. 46 young people, 12 volunteers and 6 animators started the spiritual endeavor with great enthusiasm and hope in the promises of the Lord. The theme for this year, “Pilgrims of Hope: Marching towards the Promised Land,” captured the essence of the spiritual journey undertaken by each young person present. Rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Holy Triduum, Youth Pasch seeks to help participants walk closely with Christ through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection — not merely as a remembrance, but as a lived experience: the personal encounter with the Lord Jesus.
