Youth Service Incharges Meet INP

 The online meeting of the Local Youth Services Incharges of the INP Konkan Province was held on 14th June 2025 at 7:00 pm, bringing together the Salesians responsible for youth animation across the province.  The session opened with an address by Fr. Provincial, who spoke about the need to create meaningful spaces for young people within our Salesian houses and to ensure a strong, active presence in these spaces. He reminded everyone that youth ministry begins at home, through genuine relationships and availability. This was followed by a short but insightful sharing by Fr. Ralin, who emphasized the importance of careful planning and encouraged participants to put their ideas into writing. He also challenged the tendency to repeat past activities out of habit, urging everyone to remain open to new ideas and creative approaches.  Fr. It’s a time when the youth of each parish step forward with commitment, joy, and purpose, ready to carry the light of Christ into the world. These celebrations are more than just events; they remind us of the power of community, the importance of formation, and the unwavering hope that drives our faith. On 22nd June 2025, the vibrant spirit of Chandor Parish came alive as around 75 youth members gathered for their annual Youth Inaugural. Viva Sao Joao - Where faith meets Fun

The Feast of São João brought the Don Bosco Animation Centre in Benaulim to life with festive cheer, soulful reflection, spirited music, and meaningful community connection on 22nd June 2025. This celebration, deeply rooted in Goan culture, was specially curated for the youth, blending age-old traditions with modern expressions of faith and fun.  Organized by the Don Bosco Youth Paschers Movement, “Viva Sao Joao” was both a celebration of heritage and a moment of reflection on how traditions are evolving in today’s fast-paced world. The event began on an energetic note as participants were welcomed with lively ice-breaker activities and engaging action songs. They contributed to a warm, friendly environment where everyone felt included, energizing the young participants and setting a joyful tone for the event. First Don Bosco Benaulim House Meeting at Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim

The first official Don Bosco Benaulim House Meeting was held on 15th June 2025 at 4 pm at Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim. Fr. Austin welcomed all the youth with open arms. A total of 16 youth were present for the meeting. Ice breakers were conducted to help the youth to bond with one another.  Fr. Austin explained about the Don Bosco House groups, Salesian Youth Movement, Paschers Movement so that the new youth could have a better understanding of the Don Bosco Youth Services. The Annual Plan was discussed and the elections for the new committee of the house were conducted. The results of the elections were announced, Alia Colaco was appointed as the Coordinator, Savio was elected as the Secretary and Deslita was appointed as the Treasurer. The date of the next meeting was fixed as 6th July 2025. The meeting was concluded with a prayer and snacks.

The Gift of Life: Blood Donation Camp Organized in Benaulim

The Don Bosco Youth Paschers Movement (DBYPM) in association with the Blood Bank, Goa Medical College (GMC), organised a blood donation camp on Friday, 30th May, 2025, at Don Bosco Animation Center Benaulim. The event saw an inspiring turnout of 50 youth and adults, all united by their commitment to saving lives through the generous gift of blood. The camp was inaugurated by a prayer and blessing from Fr Austin Fernandes, the Director of Don Bosco Youth Services for the Panjim province (DBYS - INP), who emphasized the importance of regular blood donation in supporting hospitals and patients in critical need.  Medical staff from GMC were present to oversee the process. Each donor was given a brief check-up before the donation, and the entire event was marked by enthusiasm and a spirit of community service.  Youth were educated about the benefits of regular blood donation, dispelling common myths and encouraging more people to become regular donors.
