Marian Knights '24

The Marian Knights 24 event was held on 20th October 2024 at Don Bosco Animation Centre Benaulim, with great enthusiasm, bringing together 15 teams (from various parishes and groups associated with Don Bosco) across Goa. The programme commenced at 4:20 pm, setting a vibrant tone for the evening. The event was organized by the Don Bosco Youth Paschers Movement. 

The evening began with a heartfelt prayer service led by Noah, invoking the blessings of God and the intercession of our Holy Mother. The participants faithfully took part in the prayer service and experienced the presence of God among them.

Fr. Austin extended a warm welcome to all participants, expressing gratitude for their presence. Fr. Simao officially declared the Marian Knights 24 open, marking the start of an evening filled with love, fellowship and strong spirits of participation.

Fr. Austin then provided an insightful introductory note on Don Bosco Youth Services. He emphasized the role of the Don Bosco Youth Services in shaping the lives of youth. He also shared the significance of the Marian Knights initiative and how we need to make Mother Mary a part of our lives and intercede with Her.

There were lively action songs that encouraged joy, energy and a fun-loving environment among the participants. Throughout the event, dedicated volunteers conducted various activities that focused on Mary. Right from the birth of Mother Mary till her role at the birth of the Chruch! The activities highlighted the aspect of how Mary is our road to Jesus and we have to make Her a part of our daily lives by praying the Rosary and other Marian devotions alive. The activities engaged the participants in meaningful discussions and creative expressions. Spot prizes were awarded in between the activities which added an element of excitement and encouraged friendly competition among the teams.

Youth Pascher’s President Mr. Jolton Da’costa delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all those involved in making the event a success. 

Team Snows emerged victorious and bagged the first place, while Team Loreto and Team Lourdes secured the second and third positions, respectively.

Fr. Simao and Fr. Patrick did the crowning and commissioning of the Knights by presenting the symbolic sword and the crowns. Fr. Benjamin the Parish Priest of Veroda Church gave away the prizes for the runners-up.



The event concluded with a lively photo session which captured the memorable moments of joy and achievement. Marian Knights 24 wrapped up at 8:15 pm, leaving the participants inspired and united in faith.

Youth Formation Program at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Ambelim- Goa

On July 14, 2024, the inaugural mass for the Youth of Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Ambelim, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. The ceremony began with a procession of members, each carrying a personalized Bible cutout, which they later stuck onto a world map, symbolizing their mission to spread the Good News globally. Fr. Austin Fernandes SDB, the main celebrant, emphasized the importance of "practicing what we preach" in his homily, encouraging the youth to grow positively and evolve as a community. Fr. Camilo Dias, the chaplain of the chapel, co-celebrated the mass and distributed the Bible cutouts during the recessional hymn, signifying the start of their mission. Uniting for a Purpose: The Don Bosco Youth Paschers Reunion 2024

         The Don Bosco Youth Paschers recently convened for a memorable reunion from May 25th to May 26th, 2024, at the serene Don Bosco Animation Center in Benaulim. With a turnout of 46 enthusiastic Youth Paschers, and dedicated volunteers, the event aimed to strengthen bonds and plan ahead for the Youth Paschers Movement’s future endeavors for the year 2024-2025.   Under the capable guidance of Fr. Austin Fernandes, Director of Youth Services, the reunion unfolded seamlessly. The journey began with a heartfelt prayer led by Fr. Austin and the volunteers, setting a tone of reverence and togetherness.
