Detox Sunday: A day without Technology

Venue: Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim

On August 25th, 2024, Don Bosco Youth Services-INP organized the first-ever Detox Sunday, a day-long event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Don Bosco Animation Centre in Benaulim, under the guidance of Fr. Austin Fernandes and splendid coordination by Miss Precious, Miss Larisha, and Miss Frina. The event saw the participation of around 25 members.

The day began with registration at 9 a.m., followed by engaging icebreakers. Fr. Austin Fernandes then celebrated Mass and provided a brief introduction to the event. Participants were encouraged to go without their cell phones for the entire day, embracing the true spirit of detox.

Fr. Edison led a thought-provoking session on the themes of Modern, Post-Modern, and Post-Truth eras, offering the youth much to reflect upon. The first half of the day concluded with a shared lunch.

The afternoon featured a variety of activities, including board games like chess, Ludo, and Jenga, which were open to anyone who wished to play. There was also a fantastic collection of books available for reading and an opportunity for wall painting. Outdoor games such as Electric Wire and Tennikoit added to the fun and energy of the day. The event concluded with a group photo and tea with snacks.


The overall response was very positive, marking the event as a great success.

Youth Formation Program at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Ambelim- Goa

On July 14, 2024, the inaugural mass for the Youth of Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Ambelim, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. The ceremony began with a procession of members, each carrying a personalized Bible cutout, which they later stuck onto a world map, symbolizing their mission to spread the Good News globally. Fr. Austin Fernandes SDB, the main celebrant, emphasized the importance of "practicing what we preach" in his homily, encouraging the youth to grow positively and evolve as a community. Fr. Uniting for a Purpose: The Don Bosco Youth Paschers Reunion 2024

         The Don Bosco Youth Paschers recently convened for a memorable reunion from May 25th to May 26th, 2024, at the serene Don Bosco Animation Center in Benaulim. With a turnout of 46 enthusiastic Youth Paschers, and dedicated volunteers, the event aimed to strengthen bonds and plan ahead for the Youth Paschers Movement’s future endeavors for the year 2024-2025.   Under the capable guidance of Fr. Austin Fernandes, Director of Youth Services, the reunion unfolded seamlessly. The journey began with a heartfelt prayer led by Fr. Austin and the volunteers, setting a tone of reverence and togetherness.
