Taizé Prayer - Evening of Silence, Chants, and Prayer

On 8 February 2026, the Don Bosco Youth Paschers organised a Taizé Prayer Service at Don Bosco Animation Centre, Benaulim. The prayer service was open to all and brought together nearly 50 participants from diverse age groups, who spent two hours in an atmosphere of worship, silence, adoration, and reflection on the Word of God. Taizé Prayer is a Christian tradition inspired by the Taizé Community, an ecumenical monastic community based in Taizé, France. Characterised by its serene and contemplative nature, the prayer service fostered a peaceful ambience that drew participants into a deeper focus on the cross and the presence of God. Moments of silence allowed for personal reflection and meditation, while the repetitive chants created a calming rhythm that guided participants toward an intimate and personal encounter with God. Honoring the Legacy of St. John Bosco: A Memorable Evening

On 23rd January, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shirva was filled with joy and gratitude on  as the Youth and Cooperators, came together to celebrate the Feast of the beloved founder, St. John Bosco. The celebration was specially organised for the youth and the Salesian Cooperators, and it was heartening to see around 200 people gather as one family. The evening began with a Holy Mass, creating a peaceful and prayerful start to the celebration. The priests of the Shirva Deanery joined for the special occasion. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Roshon D’Souza, the Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Pamboor. Adding to the beauty of the liturgy, the youth-led choir which filled the church with uplifting and soulful hymns.
